Thanks for the write-up. I looked on the website, but could not find much about the 'specs' (Just "8MP F/1.8 f=4.8mm (35mm equiv.) 1/3.2" sensor"). I'm curious as to the minimum focus distance. Is it fixed focus? Is the aperture fixed at f/8? Does the camera have some sort of automatic exposure mechanism that adjusts the shutter speed? Should I fight the GAS impulse to snap one up that you have exacerbated?
I haven't tested the minimum focus distance, but as far as I can tell from what photos we've taken, it seems to struggle a bit with anything much closer than an arms distance (although I can't speak for the latter iterations). As for the settings, the aperture is fixed, as is the focus and shutter speed - everything is just as is. It struggles a bit in low light, but does have a flash.
I did succumb to GAS, and went and picked one up. It's model 101 which is a little behind. It appears that the shutter speed does adjust. I've already downloaded the black and white filter.
Haha excellent! I'm sure you'll enjoy it - I've not tried the downloadable filters myself yet, but from what I've seen they look decent. Let me know how you find using it once you've got your hands on it. :)
